Growing slightly larger than other tulips, Tulip ‘Pays Bas’ is a Triumph group tulip that grows stunning blooms of pristine buttery white.
Reaching a height of approximately 60cm/24″, ‘Pays Bas’ bulbs will flower throughout April and May.
These clean and elegant bulbs are perfect for beds, borders, pots and containers, and will excel when used as a neutral contrast alongside other bolder more vivid spring flowering blooms. These tulips are also exceptional as cut flowers for an uplifting early season bouquet.
‘Pays Bas’ tulip bulbs should be planted 10cm/4″ deep and 10cm/4″ apart, growing in almost any soil, be it acidic, alkaline or neutral, as long as there is sufficient drainage. Plant in a position of full sun, in a place where tulips have not been grown in recent years, preferably protected from strong winds.
Remove flowers when they begin to fade and support them after planting with a top dressing of slow acting fertiliser, such as bone-meal, to assist the flowering.
