Tulip ‘Fancy Frills’ (10 bulbs)

Tulip ‘Fancy Frills’ is an award winning and outstanding tulip, producing petals with a base of soft ivory white, blending into a vibrant red-pink body, ending in a delicate crystalline white fringe.

Blooming throughout April and May, these tulips will grow to a height of around 45cm/18″. Thanks to its excellent growth, consistent performance and great durability, ‘Fancy Frills’ was awarded the prestigious Award of Garden Merit by the Royal Horticultural Society.

These eye-catching spring flowering bulbs are great for planting in beds, borders, pots and containers in clumps during the autumn. These tulips can be used in a diverse range of colour schemes and should ideally be planted together, in groups of at least 10-15 for the greatest visual impact. These delightful flowers will also excel in floral bouquets, earning themselves a place in the cut flower garden.

‘Fancy Frills’ tulips can be grown in a wide range of soils, be it acid, alkaline or neutral, provided there is good drainage, performing best in a position of full sun. Plant the bulbs approximately 15cm/6″ deep and 10cm/4″ apart.
