Tulip ‘Uncle Tom’ (10 bulbs)

Tulipa ‘Uncle Tom’ is a fragrant peony-flowered tulip that will produce large, double rows of rich dark red petals, maturing to purple. These elegant and romantic blooms appear above broadly lance-shaped pale green leaves.

Flowering in mid spring, these bulbs are likely to grow slightly larger than most tulips, reaching approximately 60cm/24″.

For a captivating spring display, plant these bulbs in groups of at least 10-15, to complement other colourful spring flowering bulbs. They can be used in areas such as borders, beds, containers or rock gardens and are perfect for cut flower displays.

‘Uncle Tom’ tulips can be grown in a wide range of soils, be it acid, alkaline or neutral, provided there is good drainage, ideally in a position of full sun. Plant the bulbs approximately 15cm/6″ deep and 10cm/4″ apart.
