Tulip ‘Concerto’ (10 bulbs)

Tulipa ‘Concerto’ is a long-lasting tulip that produces elegant ivory-white flowers with a dash of lemon yellow towards the centre and a deep black base at their core.

‘Concerto’ bulbs will bloom for multiple weeks throughout March and April, reaching a height of around 20cm/8″, with matte sword-shaped greyish-green leaves.

These dependable and fully hardy spring flowering bulbs will flower for several years in small groups in borders or containers, providing a source of excellent early spring colour and creating the perfect backdrop for other spring flowering contrasts. They are also excellent as cut flowers.

‘Concerto’ tulip bulbs are not particularly fussy with their soil preference, be it acid, alkaline or neutral, so long as there is ample drainage. They will prefer a position of full sun, in a place where tulips have not been grown in recent years, preferably protected from strong winds. Plant the bulbs approximately 10cm/4″ deep and 10cm/4″ apart.

Remove flowers when they begin to fade and support with a top dressing of slow acting fertiliser like bone-meal after planting to assist the flowering.
