Slug Gone Wool Pellets by Vitax create a highly effective and natural protective barrier that prevents slugs and snails from harming your plants.

Popular amongst environmentally-conscious and organic gardeners, the pellets are made from 100% natural fibres that are derived from British Wool. This completely natural, organic slug control method is also safe to use in areas where there are children and animals.

As the tiny fibres bond together to form a mat, this acts as an irritant to the slug’s foot which means it acts as a natural and physical barrier. In addition to protecting your plants, Slug Gone is biodegradable and contains slow release nutrients to help feed plants.

To defend your plants from slugs and other gastropods, simply lay the pellets around the base of plants. For the best results, add Slug Gone in a 10cm radius around the plant, then add water so the fibres bond together. So that slugs are prevented from reaching the plant, ensure that no leaves and stems overhang the wool collar.

This product can also be used to protect against cabbage root fly in the same way that you might use cabbage collars.
