Perfect as a cut flower, Tulipa ‘Purissima’ is an award winning tulip that produces stunning and elegant ivory white flowers.
A recipient of the Royal Horticultural Society’s Award of Garden Merit, this dependable and reliable variety will bloom throughout April reaching a mature height of approximately 45cm/18″.
Best planted in groups, this pack of 20 bulbs is perfect for filling out the front of a spring flower bed or border. They can also excel as the focal point of a spring container display on a patio, particularly among other darker coloured tulips. This clean colour also makes them perfect as cut flowers.
Tulips such as ‘Purissima’ will grow in a wide range of different soils, provided there is good drainage. Plant in a position of full sun or partial shade, at a depth and spread of 10cm/4″.
Remove flower heads as they begin to fade and avoid repeatedly planting tulips in exactly the same spot that they have been grown in recent years.
