Tulip ‘Violetto’ (10 bulbs)

Tulipa ‘Violetto’ is a naturalising, compact tulip variety producing flowers of hot-pink with a base of darker purple, bridged by a streak of white.

Opening in full sun, they will bloom from mid to late spring with stems that grow to a compact height of around 12cm/5″.

These spring flowering bulbs will re-emerge for several years in borders, around shrubs and conifers and in containers on terraces and balconies. Alternatively, they can be dispersed together in grass in order to gradually naturalise over time creating great swathes of early season colour. Regardless of location, they should ideally be planted together in groups for the greatest visual impact.

‘Violetto’ tulip bulbs can be grown in almost any soil, be it acid, alkaline or neutral, provided there is good drainage. Look for an area of full sun, preferably in a place where tulips have not been grown in recent years. Plant the bulbs approximately 10cm/4″ deep and 10cm/4″ apart.
