Tulipa ‘Sunlover’ is a captivating colour-changing double tulip that emerges with cup-shaped blooms of golden yellow. These gradually turn to sunset orange and end up a shade of burnt red-orange as it matures.
Flowering in mid spring, these bulbs are likely to grow to a height of approximately 45cm/18″, with stems that are strong and sturdy and able to withstand heavy wind and rain.
For an impactful spring display, plant these bulbs in groups of at least 10-15, to complement other colourful spring flowering bulbs. They can be used in areas such as borders, beds, containers or rock gardens and are perfect for cut flower displays to enjoy around the home.
‘Sunlover’ tulips will grow in a wide range of soils, acid, alkaline or neutral, provided there is good drainage, ideally in a position of full sun. Plant the bulbs approximately 15cm/6″ deep and 10cm/4″ apart.
