Lilium ‘Oriental Mona Lisa’ Bulbs

Lilium ‘Oriental Mona Lisa’ is one of the truly classic lilies with its stunning pale pink petals, dashed with red freckles. High fragranced, these lilies have large flower heads on thick green stems with ample foliage making them perfect for cut flower displays.

Oriental lilies such as the ‘Mona Lisa’ are a must have for any mixed perennial border or for growing in a patio pot or container. These lilies would look beautiful when planted amongst other summer classics such as gladioli or crocosmia.

Aim to plant these bulbs during spring, once the risk of frost has passed, in time for their bloom throughout June to August. These bulbs should be planted approximately 15cm deep and should ideally be planted in clumps of 3,6 or 12 bulbs (45cm apart). When planting try to include some sand above and below the bulb in order to keep the slugs away and help with drainage. Lilium ‘Oriental Mona Lisa’ bulbs prefer well drained soil in a sunny or partially shaded position.
