The first adults workshop is between 8:30am – 10:30am and the second is from 2pm – 4pm, there will also be a short break in the middle for a hot drink and cake. They take place in the private Vellum room, located in The Garden Restaurant. Learn how to make your own handmade felt picture using an array of colourful sheep’s wool, all whist being helped and guided through it by artist Heidi Street-Ward. Felt is a wonderful material and is simply made by rolling wool together with warm soapy water. During the workshop, Heidi will show you how to use wool carders to mix merino wool to make patterns and shapes for your Spring inspired felt masterpiece which you can take home. Heidi will also bring along examples of felted hats, bags, slippers and felted animals to show you. Making felt is great fun and a wonderful activity for those who love trying something new. Please note that soap and washing up liquid will be used in the workshop.
