Children’s Felt Making with Heidi Street-Ward

Come and join us for this unique and creative Children’s Felt Making Workshop with Heidi Street-Ward. We have a workshop available on Tuesday 26th March at 11am, this will run for 1.5 hours with a short break in the middle for a drink and biscuits.

The workshop takes place in the private Vellum room, located in The Garden Restaurant. Learn how to make your own handmade felt picture using an array of colourful sheep’s wool, all whist being helped and guided through it by artist Heidi Street-Ward.

Felt is a wonderful material and is simply made by rolling wool together with warm soapy water. During the workshop, Heidi will show you how to use wool carders to mix merino wool to make patterns and shapes for your Spring inspired felt masterpiece which you can take home. Heidi will also bring along examples of felted hats, bags, slippers and felted animals to show you also. Making felt is great and the kids are sure to love trying something new.

Please note that soap and washing up liquid will be used in the workshop. Children under 7 to be accompanied by an adult please.
