Tulip ‘Tarda’ (15 bulbs)

Tulipa ‘Tarda’ is a breathtaking botanical tulip that will produce racemes of up to six, fragrant, bi-colour, star-shaped white flowers that feature a lower half of bright yellow. These beautiful blooms grow above narrow, reddish-edged, glossy bright green leaves.

Being a pure botanical tulip they will also return year on year with stronger blooms than other showier hybrids.

Opening in full sun, they will bloom from mid to late spring, growing to a height of around 12cm/5″.

These spring flowering bulbs will re-emerge for several years in borders, around shrubs and conifers and in containers on terraces and balconies. They should ideally be planted together in groups for the greatest visual impact.

‘Tarda’ tulip bulbs can be grown in almost any soil, be it acid, alkaline or neutral, provided there is good drainage. Look for an area of full sun, preferably in a place where tulips have not been grown in recent years. Plant the bulbs approximately 10cm/4″ deep and 10cm/4″ apart.
