Tulip ‘China Town’ (10 bulbs)

Tulipa ‘China Town’ is an exceptional and distinct variety of the Viridiflora Tulip group that will produce beautifully contrasting flowers of predominantly pink with large swathes of green through the middle of each petal towards the centre.

‘China Town’ bulbs will grow to a height of around 30cm/12″ and tend to flower for up to three weeks during April and May.

This variety was also awarded the Royal Horticultural Society’s coveted Award of Garden Merit thanks to its reliable and consistent results, proven history and excellent disease and pest resistance.

These fascinating spring flowering bulbs are ideal for pots and will be a welcome addition to most borders. They should ideally be planted in groups of at least 10-15 for the greatest visual impact and will excel when used as cut flowers.

‘China Town’ tulip bulbs are able to be grown in practically any soil, whether it is acidic, alkaline or neutral, provided there is effective drainage. Look for a position of full sun, in a place where tulips have not been grown in recent years, preferably protected from strong winds. Plant the bulbs approximately 10cm/4″ deep and 10cm/4″ apart.

Remove flowers as they fade and support after planting with a top dressing of slow acting fertiliser, such as bone-meal, to assist the flowering.
