Lilium ‘OT-Hybrid Tower Lilies Pretty Women’ Bulbs

Lilium ‘OT-Hybrid Tower Lilies Pretty Women’ is a combination of the Chinese Trumpet Lily and Oriental Hybrid Lily, resulting in a stunning white bloom that looks down at you from its towering stem.

With their large trumpet shaped flowers and beautiful fragrance, these hybrids are the best of both worlds with more heat, cold, drought and disease resistance than either parent. The stems get taller each year as these bulbs return in spring to put on an elegant display of summer flowers.

Taking on a shrub like appearance these lilies are known to grow up to 200cm tall with each bulb producing upwards of thirty 20cm trumpet blooms. These bulbs are hardy and will multiply and strengthen year on year when left to thrive.

We recommend placing these lilies among sunny borders, along walls and fences, or in large containers on the patio in order to fully appreciate these stunning perennials and their sweet fragrance. Aim to plant these bulbs at a depth of approximately 3 times their own height (around 15cm) and at least 20cm apart. Try to choose a sheltered, sunny spot where they will be free to grow with their heads in the sun and their roots in the shade. When planting in a container make sure to use a loam based compost such as John Innes No.2.

These flowers are long lasting and drought resistant once established and will naturalise brilliantly. Orienpet lilies tend to bloom slightly earlier than Orientals with a fantastic, sweet and fresh fragrance.

These bulbs tend to flower between July and August.
