Lilium ‘Asiatic Landini’ (2 Bulbs)

Lilium ‘Asiatic Landini’ bulbs produce blooms in incredible silky burgundy hues. These show-stopping flowers grow on strong stems and have waxy, deep green foliage to frame and accentuate the beauty of the blooms.

A mainstay of summer borders, lilies are one of the all-time favourite summer-flowering bulbs and this exquisite variety is no exception. It is ideal for growing in summer borders, containers or pots as well as for enjoying in floral displays around the home.

To get the best floral display try to plant your bulbs in a position of sun, or partial shade, where the base of the lily will be in shade but the head will be in sun. With a preference for shaded roots its grows well combined with an array of shallow-rooted blooms such as salvias, peonies and irises.

The bulbs should be planted around 12-15cm deep and 30cm apart in a well-drained soil, enriched with well-rotted organic matter or leaf mould. When planting in a container use ample good-quality, multi purpose compost.

To prolong the flowering season, deadhead the blooms promptly and cut the dead stems back to ground level at the end of autumn to help prevent diseases.
