Iris ‘Katharine Hodgkin’ (10 bulbs)

Iris ‘Katharine Hodgkin’ is an award winning dwarf perennial that features large pale blue flowers with incredible spots and veins of deep blue with a creamy yellow blotch at their base.

These flowers grow among slender, grass-like, grey-green leaves that will reach the same height as the flowers before stretching up to around 30cm/12″, eventually disappearing in late spring.

Due to its excellent reliability, consistent results, ease to grow and strong disease and pest resistance, this variety received the coveted Award of Garden Merit from the Royal Horticultural Society.

Flowering in late winter and early spring, these beautifully scented ‘Katharine Hodgkin’ bulbs are perfect for planting at the front of an early border, as well as for growing in pots and containers to be placed on patios, terraces and balconies. For the greatest visual impact plant in groups of at least 20 bulbs.

Plant these bulbs approximately 8cm/3″ deep in the soil and around 8cm/3″ apart from each other to allow room for the flowers to bloom. They prefer soil that is alkaline or neutral and a position of full sun or partial shade.
