David Austin Gentle Hermione® (Ausrumba) English Shrub Rose (6-Litre Pot)

David Austin Gentle Hermione (Ausrumba) is an English shrub rose that bears beautiful, shallow cups of light pink blooms. First introduced in 2005, this rose produces a strong myrrh fragrance and is an excellent way to attract bees and other large pollinators into your garden.

In addition to its exquisite, beautifully formed flowers, this shrub has leaves that have a delicate tinge of red, that gradually turns green as the foliage matures. It has a wonderful neat and graceful silhouette, with gently arching stems that reach a height of 1.25m and width of 1.4m after a period of around three years. This makes it a rose that is full of interest to admire and a low-maintenance addition to any garden, especially due to its tolerance of all soil types.

It is perfect for planting in mixed borders, wild areas or for use in cut flower displays around the home. To get the best floral display, it should be planted in an area of full sunlight in moist but well drained soil. We recommend adding a sprinkling of Mycorrhizal Fungi to establish strong roots and encourage good plant health.

This English shrub rose bred by David Austin is named after the character Hermione in Shakespeare’s The Winter’s Tale.
