David Austin Gentle Hermione (Ausrumba) is an English shrub rose with beautiful, shallow cups of light pink blooms. First introduced in 2005, this rose has a strong Myrrh fragrance and is an excellent way to attract bees and other pollinators into your garden.
In addition to its exquisite, beautifully formed large flowers, this shrub has foliage that emerges with a delicate red tint that gradually turns to green as the foliage matures. It forms a wonderful bushy shrub with gently arching stems to create a graceful silhouette. This rose is full of interest to admire and is a low-maintenance addition to any garden, especially due to its tolerance of all soil types.
A versatile choice for a range of garden spaces, it is perfect for planting in mixed borders, wild areas or for admiring in cut flower displays around the home.
This English shrub rose was bred by David Austin and is named after the faithful wife of Leontes, the King of Sicila, in Shakespeare’s, The Winter’s Tale.

How to care for your rose
To get the best floral display from your rose, plant it with a sprinkling of David Austin Mycorrhizal Fungi around the base to help the roots establish and encourage good plant health. We recommend regularly feeding your rose with rose food, once in late March or early April and again in July. Whilst this rose is in flower, deadhead the spent blooms to encourage new bud growth.
