Dahlia Decorative ‘Avignon’ is one of the most stunning Dahlias with large 15-20 cm blooms of creamy white quill shaped petals streaked with irregular splashes of deep burgundy.
They are ideal for beds and look amazing in borders, filling up gaps with their strikingly large blooms. Dahlia ‘Avignon’ are also fabulous as cut flowers and will really catch your eye in a display.
We recommend planting Dahlia tubers, such as ‘Avignon’, between March and June into fertile, well drained soil 15 cm deep and 60 cm apart. Position in a sunny location for maximum flowering and impact.
After planting, water in well and monitor during the Summer months. Aim for one good soak once a week to the base of the plant.
Use an all-purpose general plant feed for bigger and brighter blooms. Deadhead regularly to encourage more flowers through till first frosts. Cut back to near ground level in the autumn, before lifting and storing for the winter.
