The Anemone coronaria (De Caen Group) ‘The Bride’ bulbs bloom with perfect white flowers around a delicate green centre.

Plant these bulbs in large numbers to create a beautiful white blanket rising above dissected foliage or use these anemones as a mixer to cool down brighter hues and harsher tones. Alternatively these bulbs can be effectively planted in sunny borders or patio containers and pots.

We recommend planting more than needed, as these flowers look particularly great used as cut flowers in vases and around the home.

This variation is also often used as a bridal flower due to its pure white petals and robust, easy to wrap bulbs.

Ideally soak the bulbs overnight in warm water before planting, and then plant them 5cm deep and 15cm apart from each other. These bulbs can be planted in September to December for flowers in April and June, or plant them in February to April for growth in the summer months. Ideally they should be planted in a spot where they can be left undisturbed to naturalise and spread.
