A vigorous bloomer, David Austin Veilchenblau® is a rambling rose that produces large clusters of delightful flowers. These blooms emerge in a striking shade of magenta with a white centre and the occasional streak of white through the petals. Each bloom features bright yellow stamens and a wonderful medium-strong, uplifting fruity fragrance.

Hardy in all of the UK, this rambling rose will take approximately 3 years to reach a height of around 4.5m. It can be planted in a position of full sun or partial shade and is tolerant of all soil types. To help establish roots and encourage good plant health, we recommend adding a sprinkling of Mycorrhizal Fungi.

A once-flowering variety, the blooms appear through June and July, and gradually fade to soft lilac-grey hues as they mature. It has stiff, almost thornless stems that hold their shape making it a great choice for planting at the front of a house to inject some colour around a doorway, through an arch or along a wall or fence.

This reliable and robust rose, is known for its healthy and consistent growth which has been recognised by the Royal Horticultural Society who have given it their prestigious Award of Garden Merit. So you have added peace of mind that you will be enjoying the beauty of this magnificent rose for many years to come.
