David Austin Golden Celebration® (Ausgold) has some of the largest-flowers of the English shrub roses, with giant cups of rich yellow blooms. It has a wonderful strong tea fragrance that is similar to the scent of Sauternes wine, mixed with strawberry, giving you an exquisite summer-time fragrance.
In addition to its incredibly beautiful flowers, it is also known for its reliable and healthy growth. This has been recognised by the Royal Horticultural Society who have given it their prestigious Award of Garden Merit.
With a rounded growing habit, it will hold its shape well and reach a height of approximately 1.25m within the first three years. These characteristics make it ideal for planting in a large container, in a mixed border or for growing as a scented rose hedge. It also has the added benefit of attracting bees and pollinators into your garden, and produces delightful rose hips in autumn.
Introduced in 1992, this shrub rose was named for its wonderful colour. It makes a beautiful living gift and is ideal for celebrating milestone events and anniversaries.
