Lilium ‘Trumpet Regale’ Bulbs

Lilium ‘Trumpet Regale’ is one of the most popular varieties of lily and its easy to see why.

Its huge trumpet shaped white flowers, flushed with hues of pink, carry a stunning fragrance that wafts around the garden when open. Alternatively these lilies are perfect for cutting and bringing inside in order to fill your home with their divine scent. These lilies will flower for several years in beds and borders or in tubs and pots on terraces and balconies.

Aim to plant these lilies ideally in autumn when the bulbs are still plump however if need be these bulbs can be planted as late as June. Plant the bulbs around 12cm deep and 30cm apart in a heavy, well drained soil with a good supply of humus such as John Innes No.2. We recommend staking these plants during the spring before their summer bloom as they can grow up to 90cm and may need some extra support.

After their bloom throughout July and August, deadhead the faded blooms and cut the stems back to ground level towards October or November.
