Lilium ‘OT-Hybrid Tower Lilies Altari’ produces long lasting, magnificent flowers that exude a delightful fragrance that is sure to stop you as you pass by.

Orienpet lilies such as the Lilium ‘OT-Hybrid Tower Lilies Altari’ are the result of crossing Aurelian/Trumpet Lilies with Oriental Lilies. This combination marries the incredible beauty and fragrance of the Oriental Lilies with the robustness, heat tolerance and colours of the Aurelian/Trumpet Lilies.

Blooming in mid to late summer this lily makes for an excellent summer border addition, providing great contrast to the perennial backdrop both in height and colour and will mix in beautifully with annuals and other summer flowering bulbs.

With an eventual shrub like aesthetic these lilies can grow up to 200cm tall and each bulb can be expected to produce upwards of 30 blooms, each 20cm across. When planting these bulbs try to find a sheltered sunny spot where they will be able to grow with their heads in the sun and their roots in the shade. Aim to plant these bulbs at a depth of approximately 3 times their own height (around 15cm) and at least 20cm apart.

These flowers are long lasting and drought resistant once established and will naturalise brilliantly. Orienpet lilies tend to bloom slightly earlier than Orientals with a fantastic, sweet and fresh fragrance.
