Gladioli Giant Flowering ‘Lake Land’ – 10 bulbs

Gladioli Giant Flowering ‘Lake Land’ is an easy to grow, bulbous perennial with stunning lilac or lavender coloured, funnel-shaped flowers.

These beautiful and delicate blooms grow along tall reaching spires above the striking sword-like leaves from which Gladioli take their name. These beautiful sword-lilies can be planted in drifts throughout a herbaceous or cottage border and excel when interspersed with other rich purple or soft pink coloured flowers. These Gladioli also make for excellent cut flowers.

For the best results, plant in clusters of five or more in a position of full sun with each bulb 10 cm deep and 10 cm apart. If possible separate groups of bulbs with some flowers saved for cutting throughout the summer and the rest for garden display.

Due to their ample bloom and tall stems it may be necessary to stake the stems around 5 cm from the base, preventing damage to the bulbs. Gladioli need water during the growing period and mulching with peat or compost to conserve moisture.
