Gladioli Giant Flowering ‘Ajax’ – 10 bulbs

Gladioli Giant Flowering ‘Ajax’ are perfect for filling up the back of a summer border with a dash of vibrant colour and light.

These tall perennials grow up to 120 cm tall and produce spires of large (10-15 cm) blooms, resting above ample sword-shaped leaves making them ideal for summer gardens or as cut flowers to be enjoyed inside.

We recommend dual planting with enough set aside for cutting throughout the summer and the rest used for garden display in flower borders. These bulbs should be planted from March into June in intervals of two weeks to ensure a long flowering succession. For best results, plant in clusters or drifts of five or more in a position of full sun with each bulb 10 cm deep and 10 cm apart.

After the buds have formed place canes or stakes at about 5 cm from the base of the stems, preventing damage to the bulbs.
