Dahlia Semi-Cactus ‘Mon Amour’ (1 tuber)

Dahlia Semi-Cactus ‘Mon Amour’ is a lovely variety with a dreamy palette, featuring soft yellow blooms that fade to pink and red toward the petal tips.

The lush, fully double flowers are quite large, growing to 15 cm across, with striking pointed petals. When planted in groups, these Dahlias will attract attention to sun-filled borders, cutting gardens or mixed perennial beds. It also makes a dramatic floral display in arrangements.

We recommend ‘Mon Amour’ alongside other shades of deep purple or bright pink such as Dahlia ‘Bluetiful’, ‘Optic Illusion’ or ‘Richards Fortune’.

We recommend planting Dahlia tubers, such as ‘Mon Amour’, between March and June into fertile, well drained soil 15 cm deep and 60 cm apart. Position in a sunny location for maximum flowering and impact.

After planting, water in well and monitor during the Summer months. Aim for one good soak once a week to the base of the plant.

Use an all-purpose general plant feed for bigger and brighter blooms. Deadhead regularly to encourage more flowers through till first frosts. Cut back to near ground level in the autumn, before lifting and storing for the winter.
