Known also as ‘False Goat’s Beard’, Astilbe ‘Pink’ is a spectacular feathery perennial that produces large pink plumes of flowers, reaching around 60cm/24″ tall.
These incredible blooms grow above short dense green foliage that provides excellent contrast and ground cover, helping to highlight the magnificence of its summer flowers.
They will flower during the summer from July through August and are fully hardy, thriving in damp, shady locations including bog gardens and pondsides.
Plant into rich soil with plenty of peat and compost. Moisture is essential for good growing results so the soil must never be allowed to dry out. An annual mulch with rich compost is recommended for the best results.
