More than just a garden centre, Gates Garden Centre is the go to destination for outdoor living.

Since opening in 1948, this local, independent family-run garden centre has grown from selling plants, gardening equipment and items for the home, to also having one of the largest and most impressive outdoor living departments for miles.

Located on the Rutland / Leicestershire border, our garden centre stocks an incredible selection of high quality garden furniture, outdoor heating, barbecues and accessories.

Garden Furniture & Accessories

The Gates Outdoor Living department is packed with the latest on trend styles and has the aim of making any garden or outdoor space more enjoyable. The showroom displays various seating and dining collections, so there’s plenty of ideas for every garden.

Set within a large covered area, the Gates Outdoor Living department hosts in the region of 80 outdoor furniture sets at any one time, with a wide selection of garden furniture from market leading brands on display, like Alexander Rose, Bramblecrest, Hartman, Kettler, LIFE Outdoor Living, 4 Seasons Outdoor (4SO), Supremo and Quest Leisure.

Stocking well loved popular garden furniture brands means that we can offer exceptional customer service too. Our staff are fully trained to understand everything there is to know about our garden furniture and barbecue collections. So, you can rely on what you are buying to be the best and you can expect great customer service too.

We provide free parking at the garden centre to let you take your time and enjoy browsing. In addition to garden furniture, you can buy all those little helpful extras like scatter cushions, protective garden furniture covers, parasols and patio heaters, as well as faux flowers or garden ornaments.

Access for everyone

With wide corridors, stairs or lift access, the Outdoor Living department is accessible for all. Laid out to make the most of seeing everything there is to offer. Displays allow you to view everything from loungers, swing seats, hammocks and cocoons, to patio dining and garden lounge sets and every accessory you could possibly need. We welcome customers to come along and try out our seating collections to experience the quality, comfort and support for themselves.

The outdoor living showroom is on display in-store every year from mid January until late August. But everything is available to buy online all year round at www.gatesgardencentre.co.uk

Barbecues & Accessories

We are proud to be an official and certified Weber World Store with a full array of Weber barbecues, fuel and accessories on display. In addition to a wide range of gas, charcoal and electric Weber grills, there’s lots of accessories too, from protective covers and BBQ fuel, to tools and cook books to help you get started.

Other brands of barbecues and pizza ovens are stocked in-store too, from affordable Koopman barbecues to Ooni pizza ovens and hybrid Grillstream BBQs, as well as accessories.

As a well established Weber World Store, we regularly host Weber BBQ Courses. These courses show you how to use the latest in Weber barbecue technology and provide an opportunity to taste delicious barbecued food cooked on a Weber grill. Customer friendly

Shopping in-store is easy, with trolleys and baskets readily available across the store. Our teams are on hand for any questions. If you need a break, why not try our restaurant or coffee shop and we have accessible and conveniently located toilets in the Outdoor Living department.

Our Customer Service team are on hand to carry or move any large or heavy items to your car. Alternatively, if you require our home delivery service, the Gates team will make sure items are delivered on a convenient day. For a small charge, we provide a helpful home assembly service (please enquire for more information).
