Mr Fothergill’s Boltardy Beetroot Seeds

Mr. Fothergill’s Beetroot Boltardy Seeds are ideal for early sowing with excellent bolt-resistance. They are an even shape with good colour, texture and flavour.

These seeds produce high yields of round, deep red, ring free beetroots with a sweet flavour that are perfect for salads, roasting, and pickling.

The seeds are a multigerm variety, meaning more than one plant can sprout from a single seed.

These beetroots are an excellent source of folate and are a good source of potassium.

• Pack Contents: Approximately 275 seeds
• When to sow: March to July
• Where to sow: Outdoors in well cultivated, fertile soil
• How to sow: Sow thinly where they are to crop, 2.5cm deep directly into finely prepared soil which has already been watered. Allow 30cm between rows
• Care: Water well until plants are established. Regular sowings made every three weeks should ensure a continuous supply of young beets. Harvested roots can be stored in dry sand for winter use
• When to harvest: June to October
