For outdoors sowing

• When to sow: May to June
• Where to sow: In the growing position
• How to sow: Sow thinly and cover lightly with fine soil.
• Care: When large enough, thin to 15cm apart. For a continuous supply make sowings at three week intervals
• When to harvest: Pick the leaves from June to November

For indoors sowing

• When to sow: March to May, or all year round for pots indoors
• Where to sow: In pots or trays of moist compost
• How to sow: Sow thinly and cover lightly with compost.
• Care: Thin plants to further pots or trays if necessary. To grow outdoors, stand outside for a few days late May and transplant 15cm apart in final positions. To grow indoors, transplant to 15cm pots of compost and place in a light airy location
• When to harvest: Outdoor crops from June to October, indoor crops all year round. Pick as required
