Hebe ‘Starlight’

Hebe ‘Starlight’ is a compact evergreen shrub producing attractive grey-green leaves with a strong cream edge that will delight all year round. It also possesses a long flowering season from June to October with sparkling spikes of white flowers.

Taking around 5 to 10 years to reach an eventual height and spread of approximately 1m, this pretty shrub would look great in a pot or border as part of a white-themed scheme.

Easy to maintain and grow, this Hebe will thrive in full sun but will also tolerate light shade. Plant in any soil that is moist but well drained in the winter and accompany with a healthy dose of organic matter. Water well after planting and during dry spells through the first growing season. Once established they are fairly drought resistant and will only need watering in very dry conditions.

Feed in spring and summer with a high potash fertiliser and remove spent flowers after flowering to encourage a further flush of flowers.
