A superb small shrub, Hebe ‘Pink Pixie’ will delight all year round with its wonderful rounded mound of bronze-green evergreen foliage. Throughout the summer months it will also produce a profusion of clustered pink flowers that are a real bee and butterfly magnet.
Growing to a height and spread of 60cm it is a great choice for low maintenance sunny patio pots and is perfect for adding structure, colour and form to a flower bed or border. Due to its salt tolerance it is also ideal for coastal gardens, flowering right through until the first frosts.
Plant in full sun or partial shade with poor to moderately fertile, well-drained soils. Plant into alkaline to neutral soil and protect from cold drying winds. Requiring little maintenance, it shouldn’t be regularly affected by pests or disease however it can be damaged by aphids, leaf spot, root rot or downy mildew. Removing spent flowers after flowering may encourage a further flush of flowers.
