Gladioli ‘Halley’ will inject a breath of fresh air in any summer border with beautiful blooms made up of white petals, yellow throats and red dashes towards the centre.
Part of the hardier and shorter primulinus varieties, these bulbs grow into flowers with short stems and sword-shaped, deep-green foliage leading up to their loose spikes of delicate and beautiful blooms. As a result, these stunning sword-lilies make for excellent border and container plants while also being exceptional as cut flowers.
We recommend planting these bulbs in two week intervals from March into June to ensure a continual bloom throughout the summer. For the best results, plant in clusters of five or more in a position of full sun with each bulb 8 cm deep and 10 cm apart.
These Gladioli will need water during the growing period and mulching with peat or compost to conserve moisture.
