The ‘Discovery’ Apple Tree produces sweet tasting, red fruit with a subtle hint of strawberry that makes is a superb eating apple. As an early season variety, this apple is refreshingly light having stood the test of time and taste since the 1940s.

You can enjoy ‘Discovery’ apples by picking them straight from the tree or after being chilled. The tree has good disease resistance and is a popular choice for producing dessert apples.

This tree is available in 12 litre pot, on two different rootstocks so it will suit a range of gardens. The rootstock controls the rate of growth so you can choose a rootstock that is suitable for the position where you would like to plant your tree. The rootstock also ensures the tree fruits earlier than when grown on its own roots.

M26 is a semi-dwarf variety that is suitable for smaller gardens, where space is at a premium. This rootstock grows to a mature height of 2.5m (8ft) after ten years.

MM106 is a semi-vigorous variety that is commonly one of the largest rootstocks available. It is best suited to large gardens, where space is not an issue. This rootstock grows to a mature height of 3.5m (11ft) after ten years.
