Dahlia Cactus ‘Striped Ambition’ (1 tuber)

Dahlia Cactus ‘Striped Ambition’ is a distinctive and attractive summer flowering perennial that produces gorgeous variegated lilac and pink blooms. Appearing from July, all the way through into the autumn, these unique flowers appear on 100cm/40″ tall stems with light contrasting green foliage.

With this impressive height and strong colour they are ideal for filling out the back of a summer garden border offering deep and pretty colour while offering vertical diversity.

When planting in the garden look for a position of full sun into soil that is moist but well-drained with a good supply of humus. Digging the soil over before planting is recommended. The soil should always be moist, yet never flooded.

For early flowering, tubers may be started off in boxes from March onwards, using a light soil mixed with peat and kept slightly moist. Keep boxes cool and free of frost and plant sprouted tubers when the danger of frost has passed. Keep plants well watered during growth and remove faded flowers.
