Dahlia Cactus ‘Jura’ (1 tuber)

Dahlia Cactus ‘Jura’ produces spectacular fully double flowers of white with delicately adorned lilac-purple tips. Flowering voraciously from July through to September, these distinctive blooms are outstanding both in the garden and as cut flowers indoors.

When planting in the garden look for a position of full sun into soil that is moist but well-drained with a good supply of humus. Plant 15cm/6″ deep and 60cm/24″ apart. Digging the soil over before planting is recommended. Provide consistent moisture during the growing season and do not allows solids to dry out. Plant in a sheltered position to protect your dahlia from strong winds.

For early flowering, tubers may be started off in boxes from March onwards, using a light soil mixed with peat and kept slightly moist. Keep boxes cool and free of frost and plant sprouted tubers when the danger of frost has passed. Keep plants well watered during growth and remove faded flowers.
