This Amaryllis ‘Glee’ (Premium Indoor Growing Kit Gift Pack) bulb comes with everything you need to get started including a suitable pot and a dehydrated peat-free compost pellet.

‘Glee’ is a flowering Hippeastrum bulb, more commonly known as an amaryllis, blooming with beautiful white flowers that are streaked with thin lines of red. These blooms can grow as large as 20cm across, with the plant reaching a total mature height of around 45cm/18″.

This stunning amaryllis is perfect for introducing some colour in your home and because it comes boxed, will make for a wonderful living gift.

Easy to grow, simply place the compost pellet in a suitable mixing container and add 350ml of lukewarm water. Leave it to expand for thirty minutes to one hour and then mix the compost well before use. Half fill the container provided, place the bulb in the pot and fill around it, leaving a third of the bulb showing.

This variety is happiest when planted in direct sunlight at room temperature. It will then bloom around 8 weeks after planting in winter or early spring. You may need to support the stem as it grows and as the flowers bloom.

To extend the flowering period, we recommend moving this amaryllis to a cooler position once the flowers start to show.
