Sarcococca hookeriana ‘Winter Gem’ (Christmas Box)

Sarcococca hookeriana ‘Winter Gem’ (Christmas Box) is a hybrid form Sarcococca which produces larger than average, glossy, rich green leaves as well highly scented white flowers in winter and spherical, glossy, red berries that ripen to black in the summer.

Easy to grow, ‘Winter Gem’ is a tough and tolerant variety that is hardy throughout all of the UK, even in severe winters. It is also a part of the RHS Plants for Pollinators collection which recognises its value in attracting and supporting bees and other pollinators in your garden.

Plant your Sarcococca in any well drained, fertile soil in a position of full or partial shade. This evergreen shrub is ideal for the front of a garden border or in a pot on the patio.
