Paeonia Itoh ‘Canary Brilliants’ is a breathtaking herbaceous peony with double blooms that are a vibrant yellow in colour. This hardy bare root plant is ideal for gardeners looking to add some colour to their outdoor spaces and will grow to a height and spread of up to around 70cm/28″.

In late spring to early summer, the plant will produce large blooms that can be up to 15cm in diameter. The petals are beautifully arranged, giving the blooms an elegant appearance. The foliage is dark green and glossy, making it a great addition to any garden.

This peony is suitable for a variety of locations, including herbaceous borders, cottage gardens and even rock gardens. It prefers full sun or partial shade and well-drained soil. When planting, make sure the eyes of the root are facing upwards and are just below the surface of the soil. Water well after planting and continue to water regularly until established.

To maintain this plant, it is recommended to deadhead after flowering to encourage more blooms to grow. In autumn, cut back the foliage to the ground to prepare the plant for winter. Mulching in the winter will help protect the roots and keep the soil moist. With proper care, this beautiful peony will bloom year after year, bringing colour and beauty to your garden.
