Specially bred to deter carrot fly, Mr. Fothergill’s Parsnip Gladiator F1 Seeds are a sweet and tasty Autumn King variant and are an excellent source of vitamin A and antioxidants.

These pest-resistant carrots are a firm favourite with gardeners and have retained their vibrant colour, sweet flavour, and smooth skin.

Perfect for growing in areas where carrot fly has been a problem.

These carrots work well in many different dishes and can be roasted, boiled, steamed or enjoyed raw.

  • Pack Contents: Approximately 500 seeds
  • When to sow: March to July
  • Where to sow: Sow outdoors into finely prepared soil which has already been watered
  • How to sow: Sow 1.5cm deep directly where they are to crop. Allow 30cm between rows
  • Care: Thin by harvesting young carrots evenly from the row, allowing the remainder to grow on. Water well until plants are established. Regular sowings made every three weeks will ensure a continuous supply of young roots. Roots can be lifted in autumn. Remove soil and store in dry sand
  • When to harvest: June to November
