Horseradish Thongs

A vital ingredient for a full Sunday roast, Horseradish is a vigorous hardy perennial that is easy to grow and maintain, making it an excellent choice for even novice gardeners.

Horseradish plants grow up to 1.5m tall and have large, green leaves that provide a great deal of visual appeal. They are best planted in full sun or partial shade, in well-drained soil that is rich in organic matter. Once planted, horseradish plants will thrive for many years, with little maintenance required.

Horseradish is a versatile herb that is widely used in cooking, particularly for its spicy flavor. It is an excellent addition to sauces and dressings, and can also be grated to add a fiery kick to meats, vegetables, and even cocktails.

When planting, simply place the horseradish thongs around 10cm/4″ deep in the soil, making sure they are spaced out at least 30cm apart. Water well after planting, and then regularly thereafter.
