Hebe ‘Marshmallow’

Hebe ‘Marshmallow’ has evergreen, glaucous foliage with a faint blue tint that becomes stronger through autumn and winter. These beautiful leaves combine perfectly with its bloom of early summer flowers that start of as a pale pink, gradually turning white as they mature.

This shrub will reach a height and spread of approximately 60cm after between 5 and 10 years of growth. This compact nature makes it perfect for adding a drop of colour to a predominantly white summer border or for mixing among dazzling tulips. It can also be used in pots or containers such as window boxes.

Look for a position of full sun or partial shade and plant into moist but well drained soil. Water well after planting and during dry spells through the first growing season. Once established they are fairly drought resistant and will only need watering in very dry conditions. Watch for aphids, leaf spot or downy mildew.
