Hebe ‘Celine’

Part of the RHS Plants for Pollinators collection, Hebe ‘Celine’ is a compact evergreen shrub with a rounded habit that produces beautiful, small, glossy, mid-green leaves that provide excellent structure to the garden, all year round. In the summer it will cover itself in dense racemes of stunning white to pale lilac flowers that are sure to attract bees and other pollinators to the garden.

Taking approximately 5 to 10 years to reach its full height and spread of 40cm, this Hebe is perfect for the patio and is even compact enough for low maintenance window boxes. It can also be added to rockery or used to fill out the front of a summer flower bed or border.

When planting, look for a position of full sun or partial shade with shelter from cold drying winds. It can handle most soils but will prefer being planted into alkaline or neutral soil that is moist but well drained. It is rarely affected by pests or disease, requiring little maintenance, however it can be susceptible to aphids, leaf spot or downy mildew.
