Featuring whimsical and shaggy-petalled blooms, Dahlia Decorative ‘Myrtle’s Folly’ is an incredibly beautiful large flowering dahlia variety that can flower from early summer through until the first frosts of autumn. These stunning blooms consist of large fully double flowers with peach pink and yellow twisted petals that appear on upright stems above dark green serrated foliage.

Growing up to 100cm/40″ tall, it will make for an ideal focal point in any flower bed or border and is excellent for cutting, combining well with other plants from a perennial garden.

When planting ‘Myrtle’s Folly’, it is best to do so in well-drained soil in a sunny spot. Tubers should be planted about 15cm/6″ deep and about 60cm/24″ inches apart. Water well after planting and continue to keep the soil consistently moist throughout the growing season. Deadheading the spent blooms will encourage the plant to produce more flowers.

For early flowering, tubers may be started off in boxes from March onwards. Use light soil mixed with peat, making sure to keep the soil slightly moist. Keep the boxes cool and free of frost and plant sprouted tubers when the danger of frost has passed.
