Dahlia Decorative ‘Crazy Love’ (1 tuber)

Discrete and gentle, Dahlia ‘Crazy Love’ is a stunning tuberous-rooted dahlia perennial that produces subtle jagged white petals with a greenish-yellow base and intense outlines of dark purple. These large (up to 15cm/6″) flowers are produced from mid-summer up until the first frosts, above dark green foliage and atop dark purple/burgundy stems.

Growing up to 90cm/36″ tall, ‘Crazy Love’ is ideal for blending into the back of a summer garden bed or border and will combine particularly well with other purple, pink or white summer flowers. It can also be used as a cut flower to make amazing centerpieces or bouquets for indoor arrangements.

Plant dahlia tubers such as ‘Crazy Love’ into well-drained soil in a sunny spot. Tubers should be planted about 15cm/6″ deep and about 60cm/24″ inches apart. Water well after planting and continue to keep the soil consistently moist throughout the growing season. Deadheading the spent blooms will encourage the plant to produce more flowers.

For early flowering, tubers may be started off in boxes from March onwards. Use light soil mixed with peat, making sure to keep the soil slightly moist. Keep the boxes cool and free of frost and plant sprouted tubers when the danger of frost has passed.
