Camellia japonica ‘Lady Campbell’ is a stunning evergreen shrub with large, lush, dark-green foliage and magnificent early season colour. They produce an abundance of rich-red, rose-shaped flowers from as early as January until March, contrasting brilliantly with the glossy leaves.

This is a hardy and vigorous camellia that is still compact, growing to just 2.5 metres tall and 2 metres wide, making it a good choice for gardens of all sizes. ‘Lady Campbell’ also be grown in containers or even as an evergreen flowering hedge.

Camellias are popular for their winter and spring flowering, providing a vivid splash of colour when little else is in bloom. They can be planted any time of the year, provided that the ground is not too frosty and they prefer free-draining, acidic conditions.

We recommend watering the camellia well before removing from the pot and when planting on, use ericaceous compost and a fertiliser or feed suitable for ericaceous plants, such as Azalea, Camellia & Rhododendron Continuous Release Plant Food or Liquid Ericaceous Feed.
