Zantedeschia, also known as Calla Lilies, have long tall stems and lush green foliage beneath large brightly coloured funnel shaped flowers. The best months to plant Calla Lilies are February, March, April and May to enjoy wonderful blooms in summer. When planting outside, this beautiful plant will thrive when positioned in a sunny spot or a sheltered border, giving you lush blooms for weeks during the summer months of June, July and August. You can also grow Calla Lilies in containers indoors near a sunny window, they also make wonderful fresh cut flower arrangements.

When planting outdoors plant into rich soil with a liberal supply of humus. When planting in pots use rich potting compost. They are not frost hardy so you need to lift or vermiculite to protect them during the winter months.
