The STIHL HLA 86 Cordless Telescopic Long-Reach Hedge Trimmer (shell only) is ideal for the efficient maintenance of tall hedges, shrubs and ground cover.

The robust EC motor with infinitely variable speed delivers consistently high performance with no emissions and low noise.

Meanwhile, the cutting bar can be adjusted by 115 degrees to allow for cuts along the top, bottom or side of hedges giving you excellent flexibility and manoeuvrability. This action requires no tools and is quick and easy to operate.

The cutter blade has been ground on both sides to allow for an attractive clean cut while the tool-free adjustable square telescopic shaft impresses with its high level of guide rigidity, extending the trimmer from 2.6m up to 3.3m.

This hedge trimmer is also able to fold down to a minimum size of 180cm making it easier to store or transport.

We also recommend using STIHL’s Multi-functional Bio Oil and Superclean Resin Solvent to protect your blade against rust or resin and to help lubricate and loosen stuck parts or dirt.

Part of STIHL’s AP series of tools, this hedge trimmer can use any AP series battery although the AP 200 is recommended. The AP 200 will provide up to 144 minutes of run time compared to 72 minutes for the AP 100 and 180 minutes for the AP 300. We recommend combining an AP 200 Battery with the AL 301 Battery Charger.
