Papaver orientale ‘Pinnacle’ is a clump-forming herbaceous perennial, also known as an Oriental Poppy.
With beautiful flamboyant large, bowl-shaped flowers, with crinkled petals that are white at the base and rich orange at the edges. With a dark plumb to black stigma at its base, the Papaver ‘Pinnacle’ provides a wonderful contrast. The large blooms are held on straight stems with think, bristly green leaves, making them perfect for the typical British cottage garden.
For best effect plant these vivid orange orientale poppies between March & May in a sunny position within your garden border or beds. The Papaver orientale ‘Pinnacle’ will thrive in any well-drained garden soil producing long lasting blooms through June to September.
Papaver ‘Pinnacle’ also make great long lasting cut flowers in a vase.
