Paeonia ‘Sarah Bernhardt’ (2 bulbs)

An all-time favourite, Paeonia ‘Sarah Bernhardt’ is an outrageously beautiful award winning peony. Its 20cm/8″ wide rose-pink double flowers are delightfully fragrant with delicately ruffed inner petals, occasionally flecked with raspberry.

These ‘Sarah Bernhardt’ bulbs will reach a height of approximately 70cm/28″, flowering for approximately 7-10 days. They are perfect as a specimen plant in borders or beds, city gardens or cottage gardens. They can be used to border a walk or driveway as an informal hedge and will excel as cut flowers with a long vase life of over a week. They combine particularly well with roses, bearded irises and other perennials in striking colour combinations.

In recognition of their ease to grow, reliable results and excellent durability, this variety received the Royal Horticultural Society’s Award of Garden Merit.

‘Sarah Bernhardt’ bulbs enjoy full sun or partial shade in rich, fertile, medium moisture, well-drained soils. They will prefer a sheltered location and may require staking in heavy wind or rain.
